Anyone else affected by #Flu2018? Here are my top easy + must-do remedies to kick the Flu in the butt this year.
If you got the flu shot, like me, recent reports state that the current flu vaccine is only about 33% effective this year. The reason this year’s flu season is more severe than usual is because it involves the dreaded H3N2, a strain of the influenza virus that causes more health complications and is more difficult to prevent–yay!
Given all the germs swirling around, I’ve gathered everything I used to get better and feel comfortable working from home at the same time. This Germ Guardian Humidifier actually being a new purchase since we’ve had such a dry winter and was looking for something to soothe my throat and nostrils– its compact, quite and super easy to fill. Taking hot baths to create steam and calm aches only feels best when I have any eucalyptus, chamomile and lavender. I’ve listed one I love but you can also make your own and keep on reserve, like this DIY I made for my friends last year. The other must have is top notch tea to drink all day long and I’m obsessed with Dr. Jackson’s Herbal Tea Relax which helps with my anxiety when I’m sick– I hate when I can’t give 100% at work. Others on this list are ones I’ve gathered over the years and highly recommend with your go-to over the counter drug. I swear by non-drowsy Mucinex for sever cough and Zyrtec D to dry out sinuses– on repeat all day long!
