I made it! “Rest” Day. After barely being able to move for a few days, I still wanted to keep up with my routine and revisit the equipment I was longing for after Monday! So, I took it a little bit slower than I usually do and did simple, low impact cardio, weights, abs and stretching (a lot of stretching). My typical routine is about 60 minutes and includes:
- 30 – 45 minute elliptical on Fat Burn or starting on 5, up to 8, up to 12, down to 8, 7, 6, 5 levels.
- 5-7 minute weights including Ab Crunch, Leverage High Row and Leverage Shoulder Press.
- 8 minute abs (yes, I really do this and yes, I’ve memorize all the moves!).
- 5-7 minute stretching, mostly legs and abs.
If I have time, I will also pop into the sauna for a bit to help relax my muscles– that’s my favorite part!
And there you have it. A simple workout goes a long way, but making sure to switch it up from time to time ensures you’re building upon your goals and keeping it interesting!
