One of my favorite weekend adventures is to stroll through local farmers markets— and Chicago has quite a few over the Summer! As we get into Fall, there is so much in season worth fighting the crowds to find like tomatoes, sweet corn and pretty much any stand you can find freshly made jam at.

Here, #ChefAdrian has whipped up some delicious quick dishes with all ingredients found at a farmers market. We tend to do this every year and its the perfect excuse to have friends over!

Fresh Sharp Blu Cheese, Apricot Jam + Black Pepper Crostini

  • Fresh baked French Baguette
  • Lightly buttered
  • Sharp Blu Cheese spread
  • Apricot Jam topping

Sweet + Spicy Veggie Salad

  • Shaved Sweet Corn
  • Sliced Radish
  • Sliced Sweet Heirloom Tomatoes
  • Diced Jalapeno
  • Fresh Goat Cheese
  • Chopped Chives
  • Cilantro
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Roasted Lamb Mini Meatball in Greek Yogurt Sauce

  • Ground Lamb, round in mini meat ball, oven roasted for 20 min
  •  Whipped Greek Yogurt with chopped Basil
  • Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese
  • Kalamata Olive
  • Sliced Crostini
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

So many different dishes, so little time! I’m excited to keep returning to the markets until they start to close down for cooler weather to see what else #ChefAdrian can dream up.

Enjoy!
