Here we are! A new–empty– house in desperate need for new items to make it a home. Luckily, #ChefAdrian and I have similar taste when it comes to decor and furniture, so we already have pieces identified, purchased or even on its way for delivery!
While I literally have the whole house decorated in my head along with the pieces we need to purchase to blend with our favorites we took with us from Chicago, I always start anything with a mood board. Even if it looks good in me head–and I’m usually not wrong– it’s so much easier to see your creativity come to life!
Our apartment in Chicago was such a hodgepodge and melting pot of our past lives coming together that survived three different apartments that not much came with us to Charleston. Not even a mattress. No bed frame, couches, chairs. Most everything that came with us will get replaced except for our antique pieces (there are two…) and I’m so excited to start investing in good furniture to last us another life down South.
While we’ll continue our eclectic, modern vibes, we’re definitely trading in industrial for coastal, charcoal for while, soft and inviting colors that bring in the greenery that surrounds our corner lot.
- Charleston meets Palm Springs
- Dusty blues, greens + neutrals
- Fresh, woven, flowy fringe textures
- Literally anything rattan
- Simple, sturdy, easy + comfortable
Here are the items on our to-purchase list you can shop too!
So excited to see this all come together and thank you, as always, for following along!
