Inspired by Spritz: Italy’s Most Iconic Aperitivo Cocktail, with Recipes, this tasty concoction was born out of our love of Moscow Mules and fresh herbs. Always on the hunt for new cocktail recipes, this stunner won over our hearts pretty quickly with its tangy, sweet and fizzy bite. Perfect for after-sun sipping, we enjoyed this #allnightlong and paired it with #ChefAdrian’s yummy costinis from earlier Farmers Market findings.

Bourbon Pear Ginger Fizzler

Serves 4


  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 pears, peeled and cored
  • 1 1/2 oz. Ginger Beer
  • 1 1/2 oz. pear nectar
  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • 2 tsp. fresh thyme
  • Thyme, for garnish


Make the simple syrup. 
1. Heat the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium high heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
Make the pear puree. 
2. Blend the pears, pear nectar and fresh thyme in a blender or food processor until pureed.
Assemble the drink. 
3. Fill four high ball or rocks glasses with ice. Shake the bourbon, 2 ounces of pear puree and 1 ounce of simple syrup vigorously until chilled. Pour over ice and top with Ginger Beer. Garnish with a sprig of thyme to serve.
